We have owned Gargarou Retreat for 8 years.  We now live at Gargarou most of the year, though we still have a base in the UK.

Rachael is an artist. Pete used to facilitate self-development courses and workshops but gradually  the ongoing development of Gargarou has taken over!

Before focusing on bringing up her family, Rachael graduated in Ceramics at the Royal College of Art and established herself as an exhibiting artist. She is now resuming and renewing her work as a practicing artist. See earth and fire page for work in progress.

In 2005 and 2006 we hosted a number of holistic workshop weeks, with dance, meditation and yoga which ran very successfully. Since then we have though about and planned more workshops but they never quite happened, Each year we value more the sense of peace and quietness that comes from renting the villas for periods of several months. It suits us much better to host weekly Qi Gung classes than organise large workshops, it gives us time to appreciate living here and the people who visit, and to pursue our own creative ideas.  It is our vision that Gargarou Retreat is a place where people come to renew their holistic well-being and creative inspiration.
