Kardomili and Stoupa travel guide

The Tagetos mountains rise  up from the west coast of the Mani and have peaks over 2000m high. The area around Kardomili and Stoupa has become a popular base for walking holidays.

Stoupa was a small fishing village no so many years ago and has become a busy tourist resort, crowded in the peak season. The ruins of the old town of Kardomili, behind the main road are worth exploring. From this area there are many small mountain villages to visit and mapped out hill walks to follow.

To fully explore the area you’ll need a car or plenty of time and good boots.
